Never a BIG fan, but did like some of their stuff. My favorite I suppose, would be "Synchronicity 2".

I like their music but actually have not listened to them much in recent years. They were very inovative. good songs, vocals and musicianship. I probably should re-visit their albums.

Really? Joe? and how fast were you going? I plead the fifth. Seriously, I like them and listened to their music back in the 80s and early 90s. However, not as much anymore. But, when they did that reunion tour a few years ago and a friend had an extra ticket and asked if I wanted to go, I did. I never saw them live so it was cool that I finally did.

Now, I know you meant the BAND named The Police, but then again ------------ This is an actual band made up of off duty Detroit police officers.... They do a lot of PR work. Been around for years now..... Whitefang

jbone: As per your signature--- "One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain" Nice sentiment, but really, I've heard PLENTY music that was painful to hear! And... are the "real deal" police the actual BAND? Or the actual police...? And that pleasantly reminded me. In the band I was in (and that goes back 50 years) we liked to often kill time with a "jam" we'd play that we called, "Ethereal Deal." (a play on the phrase "real deal". ) Whitefang

Fang, Jim put that sig on there so I let it stay in place. I'm with you. Every time I hear a snippet of a rock or pop song, selling hemmorhoid cream or arthritis medicine I cringe.
Does that cop band do the theme from "Bad Boys" I wonder?

It's been many moons since I've seen them(before THAT tune got familiar...) but I wouldn't be surprised. And snippets of rock or "pop" tunes used to sell hemorrhoid cream or other mundane products is only ONE kind of pain. But there was a lot of other music, NOT used for commercials, but intended for general radio play that was painful to endure, wouldn't you say? Actually, there were tunes I've first time ever heard on TV commercials that after chasing them down turned out to be among my favorites. Like THIS example.... I think it was a J.C.Penney ad and AT Christmastime, actually.... Whitefang
