These are great but I wouldn't know where to start as so many great ones attended over 55 or so years.

ZZ Top, Youngbloods, and The James Gang at a skating rink in Bricktown NJ. Very good concert but on the way out to go home, the cops stopped us and searched my van. My buddy Jeff Polo, turned the tape player way up when they told us to get out of the van, and grabbed the weed and jumped out of the van while the cops searched. They let us go because they found nothing. About a quarter mile down the road, Jeff pops out of the woods when he saw us coming with the bag of weed in his hand. One more thing, when I was working as a tile setter at the Anheuser Busch brewery in Jacksonville Florida, one of the foremen told me that he had managed that skating rink in Bricktown NJ when that concert happened (Small World I'd say)

I mentioned before that a friend of mine once asked me if I wanted a free ticket to see Black Sabbath. Not really caring for them I turned down the offer. Found out AFTER the concert that YES was on the bill with them! Had he told me that, or if I knew I would have gladly gone. He claimed he didn't know that either, but I STILL don't believe him. But it's OK I guess 'cause I saw YES eventually. The EAGLES opened for them that night. It was the second time I've seen The Eagles, they still weren't at their biggest point of fame, and it bugged me that much of the crowd there were booing them and yelling for them to get off the stage. I'd say the "for and against" ratio for them was 60-40. 60 for and 40 against. I wonder how much of that 40% changed their opinion of them over the years. Whitefang
