How'do? I hain't been around in a while and very rarely post anymore at all.......getting lazy in my old age, I reckon. But I do drift by occasionally to see what you fellers have been up to.
Anyhow.....wanted you guys to hear one of my favorite country songs of all time. I had been playing about 6 years when this song came out in '65 (I think) and thought I was getting to be pretty dang good at pickin'. I heard Mr. Don Rich pick this one and I knew I had a boatload of wood-shedding to do before I could ever consider myself half-ass good! A couple of reasons......back then, guitar players usually solo'd in G, E, or C......not many picked lead in the key of D........#2....during the bridge of the tune, they took it to E minor......that was strange and appealing to me back then. I always admired Don and Buck Owens but this bunch in the video....they do Don and this song justice........yep
Yawl be good and stay out of trouble.!
