Andrew Roberts previous book, ' The Storm Of War' was an engrossing read. I'm having problems with Napoleon, with the densely detailed account bogging me down to a slow plod. More importantly I'm not finding it engaging in that he doesn't really bring the character to life. Maybe starting on a simpler biography would have been a better idea. Taking a break and reading this bit of fluff-

Sorry Kinuta. I should have warned you that this is a book with lots of military details (people, places and times) related to Napoleon's life. Details taken from many first person letters.
