Earle- I like Crais! Kind of old school with a cool twist.
I'm at the bottom of the barrel just now. My first J.A. Jance. It's fair.

Gates of Fire- The Battle of Thermopylae by Steven Pressfield Incredible historic piece, The author has written several other books on war. And The War of Art, which is an inspirational book for creatives that I recommend. He also has a blog about creativity. It's mostly about writing which I generally find interesting (villains, plots, etc.,), but also about creativity in general that is similarly inspiring.

I like that title in that it hints at something more than just the creative process. I'll have to look for a copy! Thanks for the mention. Whitefang

Since getting(finally) my new specs I've been catching up on my annual "re-reads". Currently 'bout 2/3s though Gary Paulsen's WINTERDANCE. Still looking for a copy of Kesey's SOMETIMES A GREAT NOTION since my copy got destroyed in a basement flood some time ago. Whitefang
