I've played that tune a time or two over the years as well. It used to be a favorite at a lot of the honky tonks/breer joints we worked.
A good bunch of boys and right fair pickers (if they only didn't slow everything down so much...rats)

I kinely liked that'un.....brought back some good memories. I'm with you, I hain't never swung a "nine pound hammer" before, but doing electrical work all my life....I have swung a five pound maul a bunch of times busting up concrete. Sure glad those days are over. When I'd git dun, I was always "tard" and thirsty. Always wanted a "RC Cola"
(sorry for using this one......but that voice I always hear in situations like this told me to go on ahead!) 0:)

Found this oldie and wanted to share some purdee fair Tele pickin with you guys. The feller doing the singing ain't bad for a washed-up mandolin player what used to pick and sing tenor for Byron Berline. If you can make it to the 3:20 mark, Brent Mason shows how to properly chicken-pick country music....(the rascal). I nearly broke my wrist back in the 90s trying to learn how to play a guitar break for this song.
Back to the game.... Liza JanE
