Many of the singers that appeared on the show DID cut albums.
The Limelighter, New Christy Minstrels, Chad Mitchell Trio, Kingston Trio, The Rooftop Singers etc.
And it was the show that introduced us to TRINI LOPEZ. Whitefang

A lot of peopple went through them and went on to their own fame and fortune. Barry McGuire("Eve Of destruction") Gene Clark( left and helped found The Byrds) and in looking them up, at one time had a guy named DAVE Deutschendorf, who I think was really JOHN, and went on to change his name at Sparks' suggestion, to DENVER).

Greenwich Village - Where the "folk" scene becan in early 60s and introduced many great bands to the public scene. Pete Seeger, Mary Travers,Judy Collins, Dave Van Ronk, etc.
