I've seen this done in many an old movie, and a few of these YT clips, but never up close and personal and for real. Begs the question...
Who makes the better saw for musical use.... STANLEY, CRAFTSMAN or who?

I don't know. I saw this way back when in my home town. Thought it was total cornball then. A few years ago around Little Rock a guy was showing up at jams with his saw. Like bluegrass, it was fun for 5 minutes. Right up there with steel drums. And spoons.

Steel drums are pretty interesting. Nice sound to 'em too. And try as I might, could never get the hang of playing spoons! Whitefang

I do have one jaw harp left. I admit I did play spoons about a century ago, and had all manner of shakers and stuff. Washboard and thimbles ala Jim Dandy. Almost got a set of congas at one time. Had a dulcimer, uke, autoharp, guitar, keyboard. The only thing that stuck was harmonica. I am not sorry!

Mentioned before here(I think) that for some strange reason my Ma had a pair of castanets in the "junk" drawer when I was comin' up. Never figured them out either. Whitefang

I used to kid my wife about her too, not being able to work castanets. She'd shoot back about my shaming MY heritage by not being able to play the accordion. But then, both our heritages use an accordion of some sort. Dig----- Oh! And wouldn't I have enjoyed seeing my 5'1" wife trying to play one of THESE?? (guitarron) Actually, with my added girth over the years, whenever I stand up and play my acoustic Epiphone with a strap it kinda looks like I'm playing one of those! Whitefang

Found one of these in a thrift shop 'bout 30 years ago. Lots of fun to noodle with. Have NO idea whatever became of it... Whitefang
