So far so good, a few hours to go before I remove the tape that has my eyelid taped shut. The surgeon was happy with the way it went.

The tape is off and things look good so far, the second eye is cloudy now, as was the first one which cleared up after the first nights sleep. I am hoping for the same outcome.

Thanks for the well wishes, so far it is progressing to clarity in the eye that was done yesterday. I am not wearing glasses at this point and it is only one day since the procedure was done.

I'm pretty much finished up and on the last leg of the eye drops. It is still very bright light wise when I wake up and look outside so wear sunglasses a while until eyes adjust somewhat. I still wear reading glasses for that sort of thing but have reduced power now from 3.25 to 1.75 (so far). Far vision is very good now and recent vision test claims 20/20.

Laser is usually an option that is addition to the cataract surgery corrects astigmatism. At least that is what the optical folks claim. Laser is an additional out of pocket cost procedure (of course).

Jolene goes for a final checkup in early November. We think that when she was taken for emergency surgery she may have gotten some damage to her left eye, back in January. Even with an additional "cleanup" procedure in March her left eye It is not as clear as it was initially. Still, her vision is better than it's ever been. Her eyeglass prescription is much lighter than it once was. She shure sees stuff I miss!
