Nick Tosches has written several "fictional" biographies including Where DeadVoices Gather" and "Country". These books seen to contain some historically relevant info. Just wondering if ano one has read either?

Just wondering if ano one has read either? Just stumbled upon this, afraid I know nothing about it. However, the Tosches book to look out for is Unsung Heroes Of Rock 'n' Roll: The Birth Of Rock In The Wild Years Before Elvis (1984). It was trail breaking in that it examined groups and individuals such Big Joe Turner, Louis Jordan, Wynonie Harris, the Clovers, the Dominoes, the Midnighters, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Wanda Jackson and Johnny Ace in light of their impact and influence upon 50s rock & roll. It received rave reviews from around the globe. Not too many years ago I think a revised edition was published.
