RIP Tabby. It's a big chunk of Louisiana blues that slips into the limbos with his passing. Thank god for his recordings, his music will live on, even if only with die-hard fans.

RIP Tabby. It's a big chunk of Louisiana blues that slips into the limbos with his passing. Thank god for his recordings, his music will live on, even if only with die-hard fans. Tabby was in the UK during September 1989. I saw him in Southampton and it was somewhat of a shambles. I said as much in my review for Blues & Rhythm and it sparked an angry attack on me from the UK promoter. Somebody who had seen Tabby perform the night before in London's 100 Club wrote in with other misgivings. This is neither the time nor place to rake over old ground but should anyone wish to read the review and the responses contact me privately.
