Pardon me if there is an existing thread on Ishman Bracey. I'm still learning how to navigate this site, but I did a "search" in the titles for Ishman or Bracey and came up empty.
I was on another site this morning and saw a clip of Ishman Bracey singing "Troubled Hearted Blues" recorded in 1928. Now, I've followed a bit of his history and along with Charley Patton, it seems they either heavily influenced Hillbilly music (listen to the similarities between Bracey and Patton and Jimmie Rodgers). But the author of the other post mentioned the "break" in Bracey's voice which has a tinge of "hillbilly" falsetto. I tend to agree, there seems to be a very minute link.
