Please, can anyone identify this song and the lady singer. To my ears,it sounds like a HOTLANTA SOUL production.Accompaniment is by a big band of horns, subdued strings, prominent guitar and acoustic piano, rhythm section.
LYRIC:
Parlando: 'I listen to your lies only because you said the things I love to hear you say.But true love comes to me like tomorrow it's always just one day away.'
Singing: 'You only come around when your love jones comes down, oh when the one you love is out of town. But one of these days I'm gonna learn how to say no, no, and that's when I'll tell you,I'm gonna tell you exactly where to go. But till then, till then, please come on in ,hey hey,and love me once more. Oh,one more thing. You said you'd be back tomorrow with your hand on my bible. Ooh man you told me so.But that old lie is as old as water. But you're mine right now ,right now, right now...(ad libbing)
TIA, Marc

I did my homework. The song is credited to Sam 'Bluzman' Taylor and is on Norma's 1976 'Patience is a Virtue' LP.I saw Sam Taylor in performance at the Blues Estafette in Utrecht (The Netherlands),and as the guitarist, bandleader for Maxine Brown. There's an extensive interview with Sam in 'Juke Blues'# 54 p. 14.
