My wife knew Ronnie Horvath (Earl) when he first came to Austin in the early 70's. He was playing with Johnnie Nicholas' Rhythm Rockers. Sarah Brown (bass) and Mark Kazanoff (sax) eventually stayed in Austin. We've got photos of SRV sitting in with the band at the Rome Inn . Some of these photos made it into the Caught in the Crossfire SRV book.
