I came across this player piano in a shop in York recently and made a video of it. But can anyone tell me what music is playing? Is it a Joplin piece?

[/quote Could be any of several old piano proto-jazz classics, but I'd guess it might be "Ain't Misbehavin' ". Too bad there weren't a few more bars. The bridge ("...like Jack Horner...etc...") would positively identify it. If so, that would originally be a late 20's Fats Waller tune (written by Andy Razak, as were several of Fats' tunes). It doesn't sound at all like Joplin to me, more of a Tin Pan Alley kind of feel to it.

I thought piano rolls have the song title printed on them on the end. You could ask, but it might be too difficult unless someone at the shop is in an exploratory mood.
