Symptoms - hands tongue, toes numb, tingling, every thing taste bitter, fatigue, no balance, hard to walk with out feeling like I'm going to fall. Had a MRI, ekg, blood work & nothing showed up. Gave me some drugs for the balance issues and sent me home. Symptoms are still alive and well.

That's terrible! My family has been dealing with a variety of serious health problems, but your symptoms don't fit any problem I've run across. Not having health insurance is tough, but my sister doesn't and she seems to be able to get the basic treatments, and some, not-so-basic without being able to pay for them. Can the hospital direct you to a social service agency where someone could see if you are eligible for getting a diagnosis, and treatment? It may take a few phone calls, but I'd encourage you to see if you can find a social worker who is knowledgeable about government assistance.

I agree with RAZZGOSPEL Keith.... you gotta put your PRIDE away and realize what is important.... and NO HEALTH INSURANCE IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER....
Get in touch with your local STATE REP and have him help you get the help you need and deserve.
Sounds like you got a bad flu and an inner ear infection as that is what knocks off your equilibriam......
OBAMACARE made cheap insurance available for peole in your position....and NOW is the time to take advanage of that..... you can end up burried n bills.
KEEP WARM< EAT, DRINK FLUIDS.....BE WLL MY FRIEND.

There are programs out there that can help. I'm 63, too young for Medicare & too poor for Insurance. I make too much money for Welfare. The Hospital that I go to has a program that pitched in & paid most of my Emergency Room bills last year when I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. Good luck to you on your problems. I had a simular problem years ago. It was called Vertigo. Haven't had it since.

I had a simular problem years ago. It was called Vertigo. Haven't had it since. Thanks for that input Bobby. When I retired several years ago, my wife was too young for Medicare and after our Cobra expired, we tried a private insurance policy for her. She has diabetes, heart trouble, and kidney disease so her meds were expensive. I found private insurance, while it covered physicians and hospital costs, it did little for her meds. I talked to her doctors and they all understood and gave us a huge discount for doctor visits for a period when we decided to go "uninsured". It's hard for newly retired seniors but as you put it, just disccuss with your doctors and hospital financial departments.
