I went to see Rise Of Skywalker at the AMC theater here in town. After 45 minutes of commercials and the coming attractions the movie started. Next time I will purchase the tickets online, select our seating, and arrive 30 minutes after the movie is supposed to start. That way I do not have to pay to see a half hour of commercials (business brain washing is what that's all about). I don't mind the coming attractions. By the way the movie was not bad at all, in fact it was better than the last 3 which were relatively boring to me.

I've heard both good and bad about it. I'll have to wait for it's OnDemand appearance as I don't go to theaters that much anymore. And I know what you mean about the ads. You'd THINK that all those local businesses paying to advertise at the theater would keep the ticket prices lower, but nope. Doesn't even ease the cost at the concession stand. I get amusingly reminded of comic STEVEN WRIGHT'S mention of it.... "I got kicked out of the local movie theater for bringing in my own food. My argument was that the prices at the concession stand have gotten outrageous. And besides, it's been years since I've had a good BARBECUE!" I didn't see all of the last three of this movie franchise. The first was bad enough to keep me from being interested in the rest.(Phantom Menace) Whitefang

Oh, yeah..... I imagine they could have made quite a few bucks if they ever thought of marketing Something like a "Jar Jar" Toilet brush, or a "Jar Jar" pin cushion. Or at least a dog chew toy. Whitefang

Still haven’t seen Rise of Skywalker! After being disappointed with the last Jedi. Also, maybe it’s just me, but didn’t the Force Awakens feel like a re-hash of A new Hope?
