I signed up for CBS All Access, just so I could watch this show. I am more of a Trekker then a fan of Star Wars. Star Trek was one of the few TV shows I was allowed to watch, growing up. Mind you it was in syndication by the time I discovered it. Also, I have seen all of the movies. I actually enjoy both the old series and the Next Generation. I’m a rarity when it comes to it.
Anyway, I saw the pilot episode and found it to be very intriguing! Plus, I appreciate Patrick Stewart as an actor. This series is a departure from the Next Generation, as it focuses mainly on Picard. I don’t want to give away too much. Don’t want to spoil it! I think it’s going to be amazing.
Unless your a fan of the Next Generation, you may not like this, but then again...

Actually, after the years of syndication of the original '66-'69 series, and THE NEXT GENERATION and all the "generations" that followed, and too, all the various presentations of the STAR WARS franchise films, there's been such a glut of these sci-fi classics that I'm pretty much tired of it all. And for me it was the same as the "Beatles vs. Stones" nonsense back in the early '60's I liked both about equally,so it's never been a question if I liked the Beatles more than the Stones, or Star Trek more than Star Wars. Two completely different music forms and two completely different Sci-Fi premises. Apples and oranges actually. Whitefang

If it ain't on broadcast TV or on Netflix or Prime, I ain't watching it.
I would however if it was on broadcast TV, but I ain't paying for it if it isn't broadcast.
