I doing some ribs here in the oven. We may be able to see the fireworks from out front of the apartment here, will look later.
I quit playing with explosives many years ago.

We will watch the fireworks on a hilltop outside of one of our neighborhood centers inside our community. From that hill we can see the fireworks from almost every town in the Phoenix area we live on the north west side of the Phoenix metroplex. from that hill we can see all the way to the eastern side of the metroplex, some 50 to 60 miles away, and there has to be at least 15 towns visible from that little hilltop.

Two neighboring cities on the Detroit river( Ecorse, MI. and Wyandotte, MI.) used to have big fireworks displays every 4th. Last year's were of course, cancelled due to Covid. I don't know if they had any this year. I've quit going to them years ago. And although toned down on my street this year, there still were enough neighbors blowing off enough to make my street sound like the D-Day invasion. Bad night for dogs, certainly.  Whitefang |

Dave, you ever go to the Bamboo Room in Phoenix? No I don't go out anymore. and have never been to most venues in the Phoenix area. We went to the Celebrity theater in Phoenix several times my sister in law had a co worker who also moonlighted at the Celebrity Theater and got us free tickets to see a bunch of acts about a dozen years ago. I tried googling the Bamboo Room in Phoenix and there seems to be none there. |

We went to the Fireworks display in our town, and from where we were parked, I could see many of the cities in the Phoenix areas displays, about 6 to 8 different cities were visible.

We stayed home and had a good time mainly just relaxing. I did remove a couple tree limbs and branches on one tree.
Mrs grilled burgers so we had cheese burgers, potato & macaroni salad and so on. I had a couple beers later on.
There was the big 4th music and fireworks event in the downtown Nashville tourist area. Estimated crowd was ~350,000.
I watched a little of it on TV.
Watched recorded NASCAR Mid-America road course race later - pretty spectacular if you like motor racing.
