So Jo and I have been talking about the next year or two. She is holding her own health wise, aside from some fatigue she did not use to have she's in great shape. Exercise and better diet and optimism are big factors.
So if we can we'd like to head for new horizons next spring/summer. That in mind I've begun sending out feelers to a few places back east, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Vermont, coastal New Jersey. I'm touching base with resorts and RV parks where I may be able to work for a site. One factor of course is location, we're looking at coastal areas first. Chesapeake Bay area would be nice. Coastal New Jersey. North Carolina maybe. We do like the water! There are some other attractive choices depending on who might need me to work for them a few hours a week. So that part is a hurry up and wait deal. Meanwhile Jo is working on guitar and we expect she will be good to do an hour set any time, maybe more as time goes on. Plus I will be advancing on slide too so that's a plus. Once I get to a certain point I will add a harp rack.
This has come about partly because of Jo's interest both in her future health wise but also with the encouragement of our hospice nurse. There are hospice programs all over the US and transfer is a must to keep Jo in good shape. Health checks and meds crucial. Further investigation will take place once I get some solid responses from prospective employers.
We took to this lifestyle so we could see some new places. We've had a couple of interruptions along the way in 4 1/2 years, a year in Tulsa and now a year here in Texas, but if the lady wants to roll, I will make that a priority. Bucket list is ultimate. Travel will be slower and more well planned wherever we go, but we will go if at all possible.
I wanted to keep you guys informed since you have proven to be good friends to both of us. Stay tuned for further and all that!
