Used to come around regularly back in the "day", but since I don't listen to much(if any) recent modern music, not sure if they still make 'em.
A few I remember as a kid and hearing on the radio....

Novelty tunes didn't only pop up in the mid to late '50's, but their heyday was certainly mid'50's to late '60's. Some earlier ones could be considered.........

Yep. Doc "kept the faith" as far as novelty tunes went. Like some of the "oldies" as---

This guy did a slew of this kind of stuff in the '60's and for a bit in the '70's.
Using snippets of popular tunes as responses to questions for comic effect.
