Don't show up on time.
Only know just a tiny little of the songs that the band had sent you.
Don't learn the song in the Key that they tell you. (I listend to the record and it's in G not A) tough we do it in A
Tell them "I don't play that song". (wait until your in the band to make subjections or changes)
Jump in on another instrument when the band is taking a break.
Remember to use the bands amp as a liquid holder.
Light up a smoke when you notice no one else is smoking or no ash trays around.
These are just a couple of things that I've noticed, while looking for new band members.

He he, that is true enough Slap. I share your pain.
We had a keyboard player turn up with a small van and he was back and forth bringing his gear in. Took 20 minutes to set up. Nothing worked and he had to borrow cables. His gear must have cost him £thousands. He then started playing and was the epitome of the phrase "all the gear and no idea". He played basic chords over everything.
