Yep, that would do for me I think. And for me as well Steve. There has been quite a bit of discussion about the newer models of guitars compared to some of the vintage models. I, for one, have criticized some of the manufacturer's (Gibson for example) for a lesser quality when compared to older models. But, when I play one of the newer Martin guitars, particularly the HD-28 with it's scalloped bracing and great tonewoods, I have to admit, they are probably just as good and in future years, will appreciate in value as much as some of the older models.

You are right Jim. I was in a nearby store about 18 months ago and was buying an acoustic ( a Taylor as it happens) but there were a bunch of Martins there too and the sales guy was happy for me to play them. The feel was superb and the tone was consistent. I just didn't have the cash for one. the Taylor, though, was lovely and I've used it a lot since and so it has paid for itself.
