Has anyone had experience with a Short Scale guitar?
I hear they are easier to play (less string tension) and with arthritis crippling my fingers, I was wondering what your experience is. Is there a good one that I should try, (assuming my local guitar store has one in stock).
Now, I've got this child's little Harmony that I'm refurbishing to give to my grandson (Model H0201) manufactured in 1971. It's definitely a short-scale. smiley-laughing024

I have a Gibson J-185 ec, that's a short scale. I can't really tell you that's it's easier to play. Between the Taylors and Martin acoustics I have, but it DOES sound good. She has a nice punchy sound.

I played a Ric John Lennon model- that seem very short scale to me and I disliked it but wanted so much to like it.
