Old one was pretty rough so contacted Peter Mather to build a new one. It is pine with a birch speaker baffle. The old cabinet is now an extension cab for 2 P12Q alnico speakers.

George, that is gorgeous.
But, I'd be afraid to gig with that beauty. Did you change anything beside the speakers?

Jim, The speakers in the picture, Jensen C10Qs have been in there for ~ 10 or so years. I still have the original Fender ones stored. The reverb unit is disconnected as the amp was modded prior to my owning and reverb/tremolo replaced with gain/mid range/master vol. controls. I put the reverb tank back in the original cabinet. One of the 3 reverb springs is off and loose in there. I mainly used a little bit of delay pedal almost ambiance in place of the reverb now.
Really don't expect to gig with the amp but gets good use at home here mainly in basement where photos taken. Doesn't take much volume for a nice full sound.

I should mention this amp was modded prior to my owning. Along with gain stage & master added to the reverb side a notched mid range selector was added with various capacitors for each setting. A regular midrange control was also added plus some other things. Both channels were changed to Blackface Fender but the normal channel also sounds like an earlier Fender tweed amp. This was done by a company in North Hollywood prolly late '70s or early '80s. The amp itself was built in '78. All in all it is easy to use and sounds good. I use a channel switching pedal with it sometimes. Richie Zito was prior or original owner. Richie Zito

That looks lovely. As Jim says, too nice to go gigging with but I am pleased to see it safely ensconced in your basement.
