How many of you use drum shields? Home studios, church, ect. My Studio is small (but it works) and I was wondering if adding a drum shield might help control the volume a bit.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a drum shield and how does it work?

It's piece of Plexiglas's, about 5 ft high and 2 ft wide sections. Comes with 5 or 6 sections. Goes around the drums to keep some of the volume form hitting the band members or audience. I've seen them used a lot in churchs to hold down the drum volume.

Jim, I like the sounds of real acoustic drums better. I could see the cajon in a coffee house or sub-way jam.
