Do not ignore Coleman Hawkins. Probably one of the ten most important jazz musicians ever. A true heavyweight. A founding father and one of the most awesome tenor sounds you'll ever hear.

This is absolutely my favorite record by Coleman with Ford Lee "Buck" Washington on piano. |
