That's pretty awesome. I must admit I had never heard of it until I read the Monk bio. I hope they do well.
The rich get ragged on a bit nowadays, but I love it when they do cool stuff like this or saving Steinway.

50 years of The Apollo was celebrated with a book by Ted Fox entitled Showtime At The Apollo (Holt, Rinehart & Winston, 330pp, 1983). Probably l-o-n-g out of print. In 1966 Frank Schiffman, Apollo founder, self-published a large 40 page Apollo Story - lots of publicity photos of Apollo "stars". Schiffman died in 1974 aged 80 and his son, Bobby, took over.
