I play an acoustic version of "Castles Made of Sand". I have fun with "Sultans of Swing" on my acoustic. Heck, I like playing "Rockin' in the Free World" on an acoustic.
I know that any song can be acoustic, but are there any songs that you folks have fun playing acoustic that you would otherwise think work best electric?
Oh yeah, Ten Years Gone.

Since I grew up on acoustic and still prefer my J-45 or Grammer, almost everything I try today is acoustic. If I needed more volume, I just micded the guitar.

Matt, I've done the same thing. I don't gig as much as I used to, but for some years I did, and the last was mostly solo acoustic stuff. Generally old pre-war acoustic blues at blues-clubs, but sometimes at a non-blues club I'd invariably get a request for an electric-tune that would be pure-crap on an acoustic. (Like some drunk saying "Hey man, can ya do "Are You Experienced?" or "Walk This Way." )
So I kind of got together a list of tunes from mostly rock-guys that were either one of their already-acoustic tunes I thought was okay as-is, or electric-tunes that I thought would work well on acoustic, and done in a style I liked. (Not necessarily "straight" translations.)
A couple of them that worked pretty well acoustically for me were "And the Wind Cries Mary" (done as an acoustic-blues with a few signature-type Hendrix-y bluesy-licks mixed in) and "Hey Joe" (done with more of an old-time country-folk feel, more like the way Billie Roberts originally did it.
Being from the Detroit area, I also often got requests for Bob Seger, and so I had a version of "Turn the Page" I used. Even many of the words were different in my version, more "personalized" I guess you could say. And it always went over pretty well.
Anyway, those are a few. And it really was a good feeling when between the sets sometimes somebody would come up and say something like "That was a great version of __________ you did. I liked it as much as the original."

Check out Monte Montgomery on youtube playing "Little Wing". Or... don't! Monte Montgomery is one of those cats that will either inspire you to practice your ass off, or prompt you to burn all your guitars and give up. If you haven't experienced his mad skills, check him out at your own risk.

I had to do a gig a few weeks ago as a last minute thing but the drummer & bassist couldn't make it.The other guitarist & I therefore did our bands set acoustic and most of it worked. I won't bore you all with the set list but but a few oddities that really worked well were; Wheels(Foo Fighters), Oliver's Army ( Elvis Costello), Sunflower (Paul Weller) and You Never can Tell (Chuck Berry)/ Of course we stuck loads of acoustic songs in too but those I mentioned sounded fine to us and the punters seemed to like them too.
