FLOYD “NEHI” LEONARD age 74 of Murfreesboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior December 31, 2012. A native of Murfreesboro, he was the son of the late Carl and Maudie Davis Leonard. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, with Brother Wayne Lankford officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Former band members will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Leonard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Upchurch Leonard, Daughter Debbie and her husband Dan Goodwin of Murfreesboro, Son Randy and his wife Claire Leonard of Pelham, Son Ricky and his wife Chrissy Leonard of Murfreesboro, Son Mark and his wife Jeanne Leonard of Lascassas, Son Gary and his wife Sonya Leonard of Murfreesboro, 14 Grandchildren, 3 Great- Grandchildren, two Sisters, Louise Tomberlain and Evelyn “Sophie” Tipton Haislip, both of Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by a brother Eugene Leonard, and a sister Willa Dean Leonard. Mr. Leonard was a member of East Main Street Church of Christ, and retired from Gibson Guitar as an inspector, and was a musician all of his life. He was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Room In The Inn.
