I stayed stubbornly with vinyl until the early 90's. Then graduated to cassettes, and finally to CD's in 2000. Never played an MP3.
Do you go back occasionally and play the vinyls?
I'll admit that CD;s quality is FANTASTIC but there was something about Vinyl that was closest to REALITY.
I did replace some to 8 track. then casette and eventually CD.
But he ONLY ones I boughton Cd were albums I listened to so much they had to much SNAP CRACJLE N POP on me
Though I do have several albums I'll never get rid of.
I have an UNOPENED HENDRIX ELECTRIC LADYLAND with the BANNNED cover they claim only 250-500 were released around the world UNOPENED with a sticker from EJ KORVETTES still on it.
That along with a copy of MEET THE BEATLES un-opened with an ORANGE STICKER saying NEW RELEASE .99Cents !!!!!!!
Of course in the 70'sd 80's insteadof singles or 45 rpm releases there were the newwere EP:S ...
The size of an LP with usually a GREAT SINGLE on one side and usually a DANCE MIX of that song on the B-side or 1-2 4 minute songs off the up coming LP....
It was a great way to preview potential sales of the upcoming LP and also to make some extra cash from the album.
Like HERB alot of albums after acheiving some success i was able to get em autographed.
