Walk Right In - The Rooftop Singers.
This one was pretty significant. Written by Gus Cannon & Hosie Woods in 1929 and first recorded by Their group, Cannon's Jug Stompers around 1930. Resurrected in 1962 for a 1963 #1 hit, by the Rooftop Singers. The song was #1 for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1963. It spent five weeks at #1 on Billboard's Easy Listening chart. It got to #4 on the R&B Charts and even made it to the Country Music chart peaking at #23. This song was everywhere. The record label (Vanguard records) continued re-issuing the 45 well into the 1970's.
