The rules are simple: We are looking for ten things that comport with the main topic. Then, once a poster submits specimen #10, he or she prompts the next TOPIC, and we begin the cycle again. Feel free to share pictures, videos, information, links, or anything you want in association with your response to the current TOPIC.
Okay, to begin with, the first chosen TOPIC is, 10 FAMOUS BASS GUITAR PLAYERS:
Number 1 (literally )
PHIL LESH
Edit (5/7): Okay, ANY bass guitar player...

Hey Steven, you're supposed to set up the next "Top 10"...I'll do it.
Ten best guitar pickers...
Heck, that's too easy - it must begin with Chester Atkins..
and a song I recall Chet playing on July 4, 1965

That was interesting watching Merle Travis pick. So it looks like he pretty much only used his thumb and index finger.
I don't know about rankings, but for me, this guy is right up there. Monte Montgomery, doing Little Wing.
First video I've tried to post, so we'll have to see how that goes.
Like Willie, looks like he's got his moneys worth out of that guitar!

Doc Watson, a master, no doubt. Looked like he was mostly using thumb and index as well.
So I guess this is #5, Tommy Emmanuel. Hope I spelled that right. Mans one hell of a guitar player.

These three young fellers...Pickers indeed!!!
