EDDIE HINTON Very Extremely Dangerous 1978 Great suggestion Earleg...Eddie Hinton is a great R&B singer and guitar player (anyone who plays the Tele is ok in my book)  Me being a Muscle Shoals musician is a plus! Great "FUNK" - reminds me a lot of James Brown. |

Hey, For many years I thought Eddie was certainly an African-American musician/writer. I would see his name
on different LP cover credits for various soul artists. Think Wilson Picket was one and maybe Joe Tex.

Janis Joplin- Piece of my heart
The anniversary of Janis Joplin's death occurred on October 4. Another of those who succumbed to the curse of 27. Janis was a folk singer, a blues singer but most importantly in my opinion, she was the first Rock and Roll Goddess. In memory, her first big hit
If anyone is in New York, I recommend they take in the Broadway sow.
