Thanks for joining us here, David. I will be listening to the Dorham show soon along with some of the other programs you have shared with us. As some of the fellas already know here, David produces one of the finest jazz programs out there. Always informative and a lot of great music!

Here's the first of the two aforementioned Bud Powell programs, including remarks from Powell biographer Peter Pullman. Part 1 chronicles Powell's early years all the way up through 1953, generally considered to be his last consistently great year on record and in performance: Time Flies: The Life and Music of Bud Powell, part 1

If you look at my avatar, you'll see why I'm relaying this (from David via another forum): [1/10/16] Another recent new Night Lights show, this one devoted to the life and music of Elmo Hope, now up for online listening:
Hope Lives: A Portrait Of Elmo Hope
...Larry Kart is quoted early on, from a 1970 DownBeat review that he wrote of a reissued Hope LP. ..
[6/27/16] We re-aired this program last week in honor of Hope's birthday, which is today: Hope Lives: A Portrait of Elmo Hope

Looks interesting, just wish I could play them on my phone Hey Minorkey, we're in the process of converting (slowly) many of the older shows into a newer audio format that you should be able to stream on your phone. Can you listen to the more recent ones on your phone? (They will be in red pop-up form, rather than the old Real Audio format.)
