Waaaay back when I was a junior in high school (1967), I was on our high school newspaper and I was able to interview Paul (and Mark Lindsey) before their concert. I was a bit nervous meeting "rock stars" for the first time but they were really friendly guys, joking and laughing and immediately put me at ease. I was able to have two students come to the interview, but instead of bringing another reporter, I brought along this girl who was my new girlfriend who I was kind of trying to impress!
(It must have worked because that night after the show I was able to get to "second base!") [yes]
Rest in peace, Paul.

[laughing] [laughing] I guess you're right, Jim. In this day and time I'd guess most first-dates are usually a "home-run!"
