I received this question on another forum. Can someone recommend an acoustic or bass amp to use with my gibson and pickup? I have been using an electric amp and was told to use an acoustic. Am looking lower end $$ as it is just for practice. How about the Roland Cube BC-30 Blues Cube?

The best acoustic amp I've found out there is an SWR Strawberry Blonde amp. Although I rarely play acoustic, when I do this is the one I use. I let our acoustic guitarists play through most of the time. It's an amazing little amp, we've made lousy acoustic sound pretty dang good through it, and when you plug a good acoustic into it, they sound wonderful!

Are you looking for a bass amp? If so I just sold an Ibanez 60w. 12in speaker with a horn. Nice little practice amp. Head phone jack, CD input, and line out. Used in my little studio.
For acoustic guitar I use a Marshall AS 50, also a nice little amp. Two channels, effects, line out and one jack with an XLR for a Mic. I used it a lot for small 1 man parties, quick and easy to use no big deal. But lately I've been using just a boss pedal AD 3 straight into the board with chorus and feed back eliminater. If your playing with a Pa, another easy set up.
