I'd agree that after a few short years what they did WAS in essence "progressive" rock, but they BEGAN as a rock'n'roll band. I wouldn't necessarily call "I Saw Her Standing There" PROGRESSIVE, but IS a real good ROCK'N'ROLL tune! Whitefang As it happens White fang, it is my favourite Beatles song of all!

Apparently, I must have been having FUN all these years because time seems to be FLYING....
Just yesterday on the "classic rock" station I heard a song off of the LIVE LP "Throwing Copper".
Then it DAWNED on me......That album came out 23 YEARS ago! And this month marks our area's "classic rock" station's 30th YEAR on the air!
Yep. 1987. And go back 23 years from THEN and you're at 1964! And in '87 I would have thought '64 was a LIFETIME ago!
WHICH "Wishing Well" is it you like...the one by TRENT D'ARBY, or FREE? I don't actually HAVE a "favorite" because there are so MANY that are so GOOD! Whitefang

Just listening to Steve Hackett on the excellent Inhaling Green album, superb stuff.
