I have done a lot of loading in and out over the past couple of decades. Running back and forth lugging armloads of this and that. Get it all in and start setup, then remember that one thing I needed. A power strip, extension cord, mic cable, whatever.
To address this we had to go through a major upheaval last fall. Having lost our travel trailer, we had to pare down our possessions to what would fit in the truck. Guitars and clothes and computer had to go in the back seat, everything else in the covered bed of the truck. Covered but not waterproof! This included everything for sound reinforcement. P.A., amps, mics, cables, all that stuff. We headed to Wally world- where else- and got some big deep totes with latching lids. One just fit both Silvertone amps while another fits the p.a. and misc. cables. We had an alligator briefcase to hold miscellaneous items. Since I just got a new harp case, I repurposed the old case to hold cables and other stuff, and put the overflow in with the p.a. since there was room. We have a big duffel bag for speaker and mic stands which is pretty heavy as well. THEN the question became- how to move these 2 big totes- and the duffle- that weigh in at probably 75 pounds each, without doing damage to my aging frame?

Cool little folding dolly. Holds 165 lbs. and folds down very small. Carry case and bungees come with it and I ordered another bungee to be sure. Total cost under $45.
It's not the total answer but will help with the big totes, harp cases and other stuff. Guitars will still be lovingly carried in their cases. It also has 4 actual wheels so it rolls on a smooth floor nicely. I'm thinking it will be about 3 trips from truck to stage. But not near the heavy lifting.
Other than roadies this is the best we've come up with yet.
