This is a 4 channel- 3 vocal, 1 instrument- model. 680 watts. Similar to the one at that link. It's modular, the mixer head clamps to the back of one speaker and the other speaker has a covered space for power cord and speaker leads. It also has speaker stands. Everything but the stands fit in a big tote with room for a mic box and assorted cables. For some reason ours did not come with the bag for the speaker stands but we got a duffel which fits all our stands anyway. Weight of the speakers is under 20 pounds each so no big deal to carry one at a time. My new dolly takes this tote and a smaller case with ease. We both run Shure Beta58 mics for vocals. The bases of two mic stands make this duffel a heavy carry but the new dolly handles it as well. Pretty much 2 trips from truck to stage for the p.a.
It's a pretty easy setup which I do myself. Pop up speaker stands and set speakers on, set head on its stand. Set up mic stands and mount mics. Amps have already been set at this point. Run cables to everything. Plug it all into power. Viola.
Performance is good. Each channel has high, mid, low, and effect controls and well as individual volumes. 3 xlr inputs and one xlr/1/4" input. Feedback suppression. Main volume. Outputs for monitor and maybe a line out, I don't use those so can't recall really. Speakers are either 6 or 8 inch with tweeters.
There's plenty of room to tweak for each of our voices and get good results. Jo's contralto needs one setting while my gravel basso needs something very different.
Last summer at one place we ran harp and guitar through the 2 channels not used for vocal mics. It was ok. With time I probably could have gotten the instruments tweaked in better. We decided though, since we have such great little amps, we'll use them for instruments. For vocals we're happy with this unit. It has features I have yet to use and have no idea what I'd do with them.
This was under $1000. Pretty good deal for a quality item from a good maker. I give it high marks for our duo application. We've considered getting a small monitor or two but it does not seem necessary since I can cock one speaker inward a bit and we can hear our vocals that way.
