Last fall we took the Trutone to a shop for a lookover. The tech told us the bigger gauge strings were going to pull the neck up and raise the action eventually, so we had him put lighter strings on. 12 through 49 I think. Yesterday we went back to 13 through 53's, phosphor bronze. Jo just loves that bassier tone with the bigger gauge strings. She loves this guitar, it has been with us for at least 7 or 8 years and was her go to choice for a lot of those years. Big old arch top with a gold foil hot pickup. She's resolved that if the bigger strings won't work without damage, it will become a wall hanger piece.

It does have more bassy sound now, rehearse today was really great. She'll have it and the Gibson out Friday, along with the Regal for a short slide set.
