I had been unhappy with the sound and playability of my LP since a so called guitar tech had his hands on it. The existing ABR bridge saddles had at least 2 grooves filed in them and I was getting the old sitar sound when I really did not want it. I installed a Schaller roller bridge with individually adjustable saddles to get each sring over the PUP magnets. It just dropped into the existing ABR holes with no new drilling and is REALLY easy to adjust the action. Man the playability has had a dramatic turnaround. No more sitar sound and MUCH easier on my fingers. I played for 3 hours today with no finger tenderness I also raised the PUP height, Thank you James!!!, and the LP now sound fabulous. Each pickup is crystal clear and very responsive. This is how I imagined a LP should play and sound

I have installed this Wilkinson roller bridge on several guitars with great success. It is available at guitarfetish.com for $24.95 and is very high quality. It intonates quite well, and the bridge itself bolts (clamps) to the ABR studs rendering it very solid, plus it doesn't fall off when you change strings. It works great for Bigsby installations, but also feels great on standard hardtails. Plus, if you're one of those guys who (like me) rests your right hand on the bridge a lot, this one has all smooth edges, and feels great. Highly recommended.
