This song has history with me. The first weekly jam I went to in Dallas, there were a couple of guys who played it. A few years later I convinced a guitar player I knew to play and sing the lead while I played harp and sang backup at a jam in far north Dallas. We took it to one jam and the guitar player did a great job as did I- one of my first attempts to sing. Crowd loved us and bought us drinks. But he didn't like the attention and never went back to a jam. That was about 35 years ago. I ran across the America version on YT a couple of months ago and we began working on it. Jo needed to sing it so she'd know the changes on guitar and it has just worked well to have her take the lead. I would like to expand the harp content but maybe it's not necessary.
*Edit* That jam mentioned above was in 1979 in Dallas, near Love Field airport. Place called variously Nash Street Pub, Saloon, or whatever.
