Still a young man, though he beat Bird, Fats, Clifford, 'Trane and many others who died far too young. Sad news, though not totally unexpected given his health issues. I saw him once in a live concert probably 15 years ago. He was a fine, fine player. I have several of his CD's. I will listen to one later. RIP.
