Wow. Friday we hear of EDDIE MONEY passing, and this morning we learn of RIC OCASEK going home. Eddie has been struggling with cancer for a time, but I'm not sure of Ric's COD. They were good at what they did, and although I can't say I was a BIG fan, I liked 'em OK.
Hope they're resting in peace. Whitefang

My first Eddie Money song, was of course “Take Me Home Tonight” At that time I never knew who Ronnie Spector was? Then again, I was only 15. I learned latter on how much of a catalog he had. Twelve albums 10 top singles.
My first Cars song was “You Might Think?” From 1984. Always remember the video, for that song.
MTV introduced me too a lot of great musicians from the 1970’s, some of whom continued into the 80’s and beyond. Like Money!

Loved Ric and the cars. Eddie and crew, not so much. RIP to 2 icons though each in their own right.

"Met" Eddie when seeing him on SNL in late '77. He did "Two Tickets to Paradise" and "Baby Hold On". Several months before they were cut into singles. I bought the eponymous debut album next Sunday morning. But for a couple/few tunes I wasn't much into The Cars. Whitefang

Sad they passed. Eddie had a show on the AXS TV channel. His son and daughter were on one played along with Eddie on some tunes. He had some great songs. Same true for Ric who wrote most of the songs for the Cars which were a good amount for one guy.
