This past week Jo ran across a Supro, built in Indonesia, Les Paul looking electric guitar that she loves the sound of. And someone is apparently making a clone of the clone now too. Anybody seen this model or played it?

I couldn't find any info on a Supro Les Paul copy, so it'll help with more info.( or a pic if possible).
Most Supro info I found was on amps. Whitefang

Supro GuitarIt's Chinese. Jo was playing some YT clips of a guy getting some very good sounds from one. 2 gold foil pickups, switchable. There are several models besides this one. She horse traded 3 years ago for an Epiphone/Gibson Les Paul, cheaply made in some ways but despite the road damage it was a great sounding guitar. She let that one go along the way.

You know, seeing as Jimmy Reed played Supros that adds some weight to the idea of Jo getting one. Of course I depends on earning some $$ here so we can afford one!

I looked at the Supro's, they looked nice enough.

We can get her one for pretty low $$. If she'll go with my program! It's only savings after all.

Today I struggled trying to play licks I have been playing for countless years. Not a good day today. Some days my playing is spot on, but not today, and it is frustrating. So buying another instrument is pointless for me. However the Supro's all looked fairly nice.

Like travel, we plan to do music until we can't any more. If Jo wants a new axe I will make it happen.

Not my cup~o~tea that one jbone. I would not like the knobs above the strings, plus it only has 21 frets. I use the 22nd fret in almost every song that is in a key that uses that note on the first string 22nd fret. However if she likes it that is the right axe for her........

Well to me she is still researching. Thing about Jo is, she does primarily rhythm playing. some fingerpicking stuff but not much on the high end of things. The other option besides a Supro- a few different models she looked at yesterday- would be a Gibson 335. Which I know is a proven heavy hitter. I've worked in bands where the guitarist used one and it never failed. Of course you spend the dough too if that's what you want.
