Well a couple of weeks in we can say this is a quality guitar and very well suited to Jo's style and preference. It's very similar in build to the Epiphone Emperor Regent. One notable difference is, this one has a spruce top, which is better for resonance. Personally I just know it sounds great in my partner's capable hands.
I'm itchy to hear it out live but that's about 6 weeks off now unless we luck into a gig closer up.
When we can we plan a few videos with it.

A month in and it's a great axe. 3 weeks we'll plug in it hopefully at our next gig. It's outdoors and if it's anything like near rainy we'll be acoustic indoors, so hope for a nice spring evening and we'll plug in on the outdoor stage.

Seems like you're stating there's no indoor electricity access. Only an outdoor receptacle. What gives? Whitefang

No, it's a small room inside and so the manager would want acoustic inside. We're going to go ready for either option and I'd rather plug in outdoors really. Easier on voice and harps.

Yeah, but outdoor acoustics suck. Especially with small amps out in wide open spaces. Back in the day when I was in a band, we did get a few gigs for pool parties at friends homes. I never liked those. Too many a-holes trying to splash us with pool water, and the sound from our suitcase sized amps was too anemic to really be considered "sound". Whitefang

Well ya run what ya brung as they used to say at the road rallies. We have 12w amps and a 275w p.a. so that's what they get. It's a small stage with maybe 30 seats out front so no worries. I've played some outside stuff with full band and we all had 25w or less amps but what we did was put them in front facing us and miced to the p.a. But it was a bigger p.a. so I don't know about that. I think we'll fly by the seat of our pants on this one.

Yeah, but I was talkin' 'bout a garage band with "suitcase" sized amps and no PA. High school kids with a dream in '68. Whitefang

My current concern is that the latest health crisis may deep 6 live gigs for the foreseeable future. As usual, hurry up and wait to see. We have one on the books the next 2 Fridays after today, then 2 Thursdays in April.

Yeah, know what you mean.
I've been spending my days visiting my sister in law as she's laid up in a hospital. Today is the first day the place is instilling strict visitation rules, screening each person who comes in to see if they can go see friends, family and loved ones. I might get only as far as the door, I don't know. I'm not even sure If I can get in to get my thrice a week PT. Whitefang

Considering we have plans to head for Ohio in 6 weeks with a stop in Arkansas. We may be staying where we are if we can.

And what's up with all the people hoarding toilet paper? Went to Meijer's yesterday for a loaf of bread. Found the bread easy enough, but the shelves in the toilet paper aisle were EMPTY! and news footage on TV and online is full of footage of folks rolling out of COSTCO with flat carts stacked 20 feet high with toilet paper!! You'd think they were stocking a local Ritz-Carlton or their city's entire school system.
