Damn! Posted that foot pedal idea on the other thread before coming into this page and seeing this. Sorry. But y'know.... if it don't work out for what you intend, if yours looks like the image you posted you might be able to turn it into a subwoofer. Whitefang

Mine is much rougher. I'm more a crate maker than a carpenter.

I get that. I go through a dozen or more nails before pounding one in without bending it. Got two right hands, all thumbs! (I say two right hands because I'm left handed. ) Whitefang

Good luck with your busking equipment expansion. Adding bass sounds and a drum beat should enhance your presentations a bunch.
Drums are the engine of a band, and the bass is like the transmission. They add a lot to the sound. Good idea. I hope it works out for both of you

Growing up I've heard several polka bands( being Polish, it was hard to avoid) that had no stand-up bass or electric bass guitar, but the bass sound was handled by the big drum in the drummer's kit. Listen (if possible) to the opening theme of the old Drew Carey show. Same thing. But hard to hear on a PC with these cheezy 'puter speakers. But my TV for years has always had the sound go through my home sound system so I noticed it easier. Whitefang

I found plans to make a couple of foot pedals where else, on Youtube! I'm looking for some hard scrap wood and probably a pallet with serve for raw material. I also need some bicycle brake cables and other hardware, but what I want to build will allow me to sit on the cajon and tap the pedal front wise and not backwards. Only other part I will need to buy probably will be a couple of mallets.
It's going slow but I'd rather measure twice and cut once you know?

I ran across this recently. Look what the "Ringo" character in this band is playing! Whitefang

That's cool, some of those guys in Asia are real innovators. Possibly though I may still sit on a chair and put a guitar in my lap. Looking at maybe getting a resonator, play harp in a rack, and do foot percussion.

You know, maybe hold a standard guitar in the usual way, and with an open tuning, do it THIS way....... Whitefang
