I'm not a good candidate to male suggestions really. I hear good things about the newer Fender Champ but have never been near one. We still have and use our mid 60's Silvertone 1482's. About 12 watts, maybe 20 pounds, single 12" speakers, with trem. So I wish you best luck and success in your search!

Thanks, the Blues Jr got back to Sweetwater, and in my account it says that the refund has been issued, although it has not shown up on my credit card account. They say it will take a few days to appear.

Peavey built the Delta Blue 210 in the late 90's which was a good sounding amp with lots of options. I had one for a time and it worked well for harp but was really a fine guitar amp. I agree and have one although it doesn't get a lot of use these days. Still a fine amp. I also had a Peavey Valve King II 20 and another really great sounding amp with
some amazing features. There is a 50watt version also. I'm not sure if these are still in production. Seems Peavey is marketing their Buddha series tube amps more now which are much more expensive.

My first Peavey was a Classic 50 with 4x10's. Solid state rectifier made for not a lot of harp friendly mods and as powerful as it was it was a pain to gig with. Later on a partner bought the Delta 210 for me and I gigged with him using that. I had a 4x8 cab I used with it sometimes but a single 12 extension would have ben better. I could not afford to buy it from him and after a year or so ha=e had to sell it off. Nice while it lasted. I know all the manufacturers build with the least expense possible so they can sell at a profit.
Harp mics require different frequencies than guitar amps and it's not easy finding an amp that suits. Either lots of mods need doing or you need deep pockets to get a purpose built amp for harp.

Try the Roland Street Cube EX jawbone , Larryz from the Music Player Forums has one and he loves it. It also works as a PA and an all different instrument amp. Download the Manual from Roland's site. Manual link for Street Cube EX www.roland.com/us/support/by_product/cube_street_ex/owners_manuals/
The Street Cube EX also is a small and capable PA system at the same time.

That cube also doesn't look hard to haul around. I'd give it serious thought. Whitefang
