It was very sad to read a few days ago and such an unusual cause.

Sure an unusual cause. Gotta look into it and what brings it on so we can all take precautions. I never recalled reading or hearing about him living as hedonistic as Keith Richards and others who are still living, so what brought it on makes me curious.

It was bacterial meningitis and can be very deadly especially to older folks if not detected quickly. Generally teens and young adults, those 16 through 23 years old
have the highest rates of meningococcal disease. In the past outbreaks were mainly reported in college-university areas. "Bacterial meningitis is more common in infants
under 1 year of age and people ages 16 to 21. College students living in dorms or other close quarters are at increased risk. Also at risk are adults with certain medical problems,
including those without a spleen."
